Threadx is a commitment to the journey, not the destination.

We value unity, camaraderie, and a continual growth mindset.

Threadx is an exciting and uplifting initiative by Thread Dance Centre, where our passionate trainers join forces with local dance ministries for a transformative 12-session journey. This program embodies our mission: to connect, nurture, and empower Christian dancers in a way that strengthens both their artistry and their faith.

Over 12 weeks, our trainers will work closely with ministry leaders and dancers, responding to their unique needs while guiding them through a creative and spirit-filled process of developing choreography.

At the heart of Threadx is a commitment to the journey, not just the destination. We value unity, camaraderie, and a continual growth mindset. More than a chance to refine technique, this experience is a powerful reminder that worship is about drawing closer to God and one another, elevating our hearts and our movements in praise.

“We were very blessed to partner with Thread Dance Centre. Across eight weeks, Hsin Yee and Trixie sparked a culture shift within Church of Our Saviour’s dance ministry through honest conversations and unhurried time to break down barriers.

Honest conversations

We started the project by sharing: What do we need in this season? What is something that needs to change? The Thread team listened and used the inputs to create a piece that deeply ministered to us - individually as dancers and collectively as a team.

Unhurried time

Often, dance teams rush into ‘getting things done’ when preparing for a showcase. Anxiety takes centre stage. Instead of rushing through practices, we took some time at the beginning of each practice to centre down and sit at Jesus' feet. This approach reframed how we run dance practices and prioritised connecting with God.

Breaking down barriers

During the first week, we explored partner work. It felt very uncomfortable at first. Even though we were part of a team, we were all used to expressing ourselves individually. How do we learn to lead - and be led? Under Hsin Yee’s direction, we explored a new dynamic: one partner took on the role of a leader, while the other trusted and followed. This process helped to break down psychological barriers and brought us closer as a team.

This project has reignited our passion for ministering through dance, and we are grateful to Thread for walking alongside us in this season of rebuilding.”
